Jim Furyk secured his first win since 2007 with final round 67 at the Sherwood Country Club to take home the Chevron World Challenge trophy. Furyk’s five-under par final round gave him a one-shot edge over Graeme McDowell, who took Tiger Woods’ spot after the tournament host withdrew.
McDowell held the lead heading into the final round after shooting 66 in the third round. His second place finish was a shot better than Padraig Harrington and Lee Westwood, who tied for third place at 11-under par. Tied for fifth place were Zach Johnson, Stewart Cink, Sean O’Hair and Ian Poulter. Y. E. Yang finished in ninth place after shooting a two-over par, 74, in the final round. Steve Stricker’s final round 65 moved him into 10th place for the week.
