Eighteen of the best players in the world, including tournament host Tiger Woods, are in California for the Chevron World Challenge, benefiting the Tiger Woods Foundation and its Tiger Woods Learning Center youth education facility. The Sherwood Country Club, a Jack Nicklaus design, will once again play host to this elite event.
The field consists of the four 2009 major tournament winners, top players from the Official World Golf Rankings and two exemptions chosen by the Tiger Woods Foundation. Defending champion Vijay Singh will not play this year and has been replaced by Justin Leonard. Woods, who was hurt in an accident this past weekend, is still scheduled to play this week.
