Vaughn Taylor shot his second straight round of 67 to take a one shot lead at the Turning Stone Resort Championship at Atunyote Golf Club in Verona, New York.
Taylor made birdies on the third and fifth holes to get off to a solid start. Things picked up with three straight birdies on the eighth, ninth and 10th holes. Taylor corrected his only bogey of the day at the 11th hole with a birdie on the 12th before finishing with six straight pars.
First round co-leader Leif Olson shot 69 in the second round and is tied with Nicholas Thompson and Matt Kuchar for second place. Bo Van Pelt, Fredrik Jacobson and Scott Piercy are tied for fifth place at eight-under par. Tim Petrovic, who share the lead at the start, shot 71 to fall into a tie for eighth place with Troy Matteson, Aron Price and Jimmy Walker.
