Piercy, Campbell tied for lead at the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open

shriners-hospital-openScott Piercy and Chad Campbell are tied for the lead after three rounds of the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open at TPC Summerlin in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Piercy shot a six-under par, 65, to move up from seventh place.  He started the day with birdies on the first and fifth holes before his only bogey at the sixth hole.  Piercy would get on a roll with birdies on the ninth and 10th holes, adding three more on the 13th, 15th and 16th holes.

Campbell, who started the day with a share of the lead, shot a four-under par, 67, to finish tied at 17-under par.  He was one-under par through 11 holes, with a birdie on the sixth hole.  Campbell would eagle the par-4, 12th hole and birdie the 13th and 15th holes.  A double-bogey on the 16th hole pulled Campbell back to the field but a birdie on the final hole tied him with Piercy.

Martin Laird is in third place after shooting 67 in the third round.  George McNeill, Jason Bohn, Jeff Klauk and Bob Heintz are tied for fourth place at 15-under par, two shots behind the leaders.  Troy Matteson, who shared the lead at the start of the round, is tied for eighth place with Tom Pernice, Jr. and Charley Hoffman.
