Ochoa repeats at Navistar LPGA Classic

navistarlpgaLorena Ochoa won her first tournament since April with her successful title defense at the Navistar LPGA Classic at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail, Capitol Hill in Alabama.  Ochoa shot 70 in the final round to finish four shots ahead of Michelle Wie and Brittany Lang.

Ochoa had a rough start with a bogey on the second hole and a double-bogey on the fifth hole but, birdies on the fourth and eighth holes pulled her back to 15-under par through nine holes.  She made birdies on the 11th, 14th and 17th holes to finish strong.

Wie capped off a solid week with a final round 66, six-under par, to finish 14-under par with Brittany Lang, who shot 70 on Sunday.  Yani Tseng and Janice Moodie finished tied for fourth place at 13-under par.  Beth Bader shot 67 in the final round to move into a tie for sixth place with Maria Hjorth.  Sophie Gustafson, Allison Fouch and Ji Young Oh tied for eighth place at 11-under par.
