Matt Kuchar and Scott Piercy lead the Turning Stone Resort Championship by one shot heading into the final round at Atunyote Golf Club in Verona, New York.
Both Kuchar and Piercy were bogey-free in the third round as they climbed into the top spot from second and fifth place, respectively. Kuchar shot 67 with birdies on the second, sixth, eighth, 10th and 12th holes. Piercy carded a 66 in the round. After a birdie on the fifth hole, he made three straight from the eighth to 10th holes, adding two more at the 12th and 16th.
Leif Olson and Rod Pampling are tied for third place at 13-under par. Nicholas Thompson holds fifth place, two shots behind the leaders. Vaughn Taylor, who lead at the start of the day, shot 71 to fall into a tie for sixth place with Jonathan Byrd, Tim Petrovic and Fredrik Jacobson at 11-under par. John Senden and Mathias Gronberg, who climbed from 51st place with a 64, are tied for 10th place.
