I think it is fair to say that this year's TOUR Championship will be one to remember. Woods seems to be gearing up and the week off will not only help Woods but the rest of the 30 man field.

It looks like this will be the first time since the inception of the FedEx Cup that it will head into an entertaining final playoff with Tiger Woods stamping his authority over the BMW. I guess what sets apart great players from the really good ones is their sense of the occasion and that is why Tiger is what he is.

Many perhaps would scoff at the above comments, specially considering what happened in the earlier tournament and also, more importantly, at the US Open. But if you look at the great man’s record over the last decade or so, one thing is or sure, that each time it has mattered, he has sealed the deal. Brandt Snedeker put it in the best words possible when he was asked about his chances before the final round and he said, “I guess for me to win, I will have to play a really good round and Tiger will need to have a heart attack out there.”

And for him to card his best round of the year, after making bogey on the very first hole, when I am sure a lot of people around him would have been thinking about the chances of Tiger recovering. He went one better, didn’t he?
