The PGA TOUR returns to Michagan for the Buick Open at Warwick Hills. Kenny Perry will not be on hand to defend his title as he is home with his ailing mother.
Tiger Woods leads the charge looking to rebound from his missed cut at the British Open and gain some momentum heading into the final weeks of summer. Also looking to light up the leaderboard is Jim Furyk, the only other top 10 player in the field. Also, Brian Gay is going for his third win of the season as Rory Sabbatini and Nick Watney look to add their second.
The Warwick Hills course is annually rated in the top tier on the Tour for golf course condition, highlighted by the superior putting surfaces. The course was originally designed by James Gilmore Harrison in 1957 and later remodeled by Joe Lee in 1968. The par-72, 7,127 yard layout has played host to 43 PGA events.
