Geoff Ogilvy shot a 68 to keep a one-shot lead over D. J. Trahan at the Mercedes-Benz Championship at Kapalua Resort in Hawaii.
Ogilvy made his first bogey of the tournament on the 17th hole but dropped six birdies prior to that, including five over a six hole stretch from the fourth to ninth holes.
Trahan shot 66 in the second round to move up from ninth place. After pars on the first two holes, he made seven birdies, two bogeys and an eagle on the 15th hole. He leads Ernie Els by a shot after the Big Easy carded a 69 on the day. Els made three bogeys but made seven birdies to stay in contention. Six players are tied for fourth place, including Anthony Kim, who shot 68.
