Ji-Yai Shin won the ADT Championship with a final round 70, two-under par, to take home the $1 million winner’s check in the LPGA season-ending tournament.
Shin is the first non-LPGA member to win three events in one season, winning the RICOH Women’s British Open to qualify for this tournament and the Mizuno Classic a few weeks ago. Shin made two birdies in the first three holes to get off to a quick start. She made a bogey on the seventh hole before making birdie on the 12th. She rebounded from a bogey on the 15th hole with a birdie on the 16th to keep ahead of Karrie Webb.
Webb fininshed second with a one-under par, 71. She was slowed by three straight bogeys on the 11th, 12th and 13th holes. Webb made a valient effort with two biridies in the final four holes but it wasn’t enough.
Paula Creamer took third place with Seon Hwa Lee with rounds of two-over par, 74. Eun-Hee Ji finished fifth with Angela Stanford three shots back in sixth place. Suzann Pettersen and Jeong Jang tied for seventh place.
