Candie Kung shot a three-under, 69, to win the Hana Bank, KOLON Championship by a shot over Kahterine Hull at the Sky 72 Golf Club’s Ocean Course in South Korea.
Kung jump started her round when a wedge shot from 76 yards out on the par-5, ninth hole found the bottom of the cup for an eagle. That gave Kung an edge over a group of players locked at four-under par. She finished the round even-par to claim her first win since 2003.
Hull matched Kung’s 69 to finish one-shot back. After nine pars to start the day, Hull made four birdies and a bogey on the back nine. She edged out Jee Young Lee, Sophie Gustafson, Jeong Jang and Hee-Won Han by a shot. Jimin Kang and Christina Kim tied for seventh place at three-under par for the tournament. Paula Creamer, Brittany Lang, Amy Yang and Carin Koch rounded out the top 10.
