Turnesa leads by one in Vegas

Rookie Marc Turnesa pulled ahead of the field by one shot after shooting 69 in the third round of the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open at TPC Summerlin in Las Vegas.

Turnesa fought off great rounds from Chris DiMarco and Michael Allen.  Turnesa finished the front nine at even par after a bogey on the fourth hole was erased with a birdie on the ninth.  After a bogey on 11, he made four birdies over the next five holes.

DiMarco shot 63 to move up from 17th place.  He went birdie-bogey on the third and fourth holes before closing out the front side with a birdie on six and an eagle on the ninth.  After three pars to start the back, DiMarco finished the round six-under over five holes.  He made three straight birdies from the 13th to 15th holes, an eagle on the 16th and a birdie on the final hole.

Tied with DiMarco, Allen and Ken Duke shot low rounds on Saturday.  Allen jumped out of the gate with three birdis and an eagle in the first four holes.  He made four more birdies and a bogey over the remainder of his day for a round of 64.  Duke shot 67 to move up from fifth place, making eight birdies and three bogeys on the day.
