Marc Turnesa and Matt Kuchar lead the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open at TPC Summerlin by a shot over Zach Johnson.
Turnesa shot 64 in the second round. He started the day with five birdies on the front nine. He made three more on the back on the 14th, 15th and 16th holes before making a double-bogey on the 17th hole. He quickly made up for that with an eagle on the par-4, 18th hole.
Kuchar shot another 63 to move up from third place. He was bogey-free on the day, carding four birdies on the front and five on the back nine.
In third place one shot back, Zach Johnson made bogey on the first hole but didn’t make another. He dropped three straight birdies on the fourth, fifth and sixth holes and finished the day with eight total birdies.
John Mallinger is in fourth after shooting back-to-back 64s in the opening rounds. Ken Duke and Pat Perez are tied for fifth at 15-under par. Chez Reavie, Ryan Moore and Chris Stroud are tied for seventh place, four shots back of the leaders. Rich Beem and Nick Watney round out the top 10 at 13-under par.
