Ochoa wins Navistar LPGA Classic in sudden death

Lorena Ochoa beat Cristie Kerr and Candie Kung on the second sudden death  playoff hole to win the Navistar LPGA Classic.

Ochoa shot 70 in the final round highlighted by an eagle on the eighth hole.  Kerr (66) and Kung (67) both made birdie on the final hole to get into the playoff.  On the first playoff hole, Kerr was eliminated after makingo bogey.  Ochoa made a two-putt par to Kung’s bogey to claim her seventh title of the season.

Shanshan Feng shot 66 in the final round to move into a tie for fourth place with Song-Hee Kim.  Both players were one shot back of the leaders.  Top rookie Yani Tseng tied with fellow rookie Louise Friberg, Jill McGill, Sarah Jane Kenyon and Wendy Doolan for sixth place at 13-under par for the tournament.
