The first round was called due to darkness with 18 players still on the course thanks to an 85 minute rain delay.  In the clubhouse with the lead are Robert Karlsson and Jeev Milkha Singh with rounds of 68, two-under par, with Andres Romero tied with two holes still to play.

There are only seven players under par after the first round of the final major.  Tied for fourth place at one-under par are Sergio Garcia, Sean O’Hair, Billy Mayfair and Ken Duke.

Kenny Perry withdrew Thursday night due to an eye injury that he suffered on Tuesday.  He recently underwent Lasik surgery and was treated for an infection.  The pain was noticeable as Perry shot 79, nine-over par, with seven bogeys to two pars on the back nine.

Phil Mickelson shot an even-par round leaving him tied for eighth.  He is in a group of eight golfers that include Anthony Kim and Angel Cabrera.
