Tournament Preview: Wyndham Championship

Brandt Snedeker is set to defend his first PGA Tour title at this week’s Wyndham Championship but at a new course … the Sedgefield Country Club.

With the Ryder Cup locks set, bubble players now have three weeks to help themselves get picked by team captains Paul Azinger and Nick Faldo.  It is also the final tournament of the regular season.  Some players will try to use this final tournament to qualify for the FedEx Cup, which begins next week.

The Sedgefield Country Club was originally designed by Donald Ross in 1926 with a remodel by Kris Spence in 2007.  Playing to a par-72 and 7,117 yards, emphasizes angles were players have to be aware of where their tee shots land to have a good look at the greens, which are undulating with slopes from back to front.
