Spotlight: Vijay Singh

Vijay Singh captured his first World Golf Championship trophy at the Bridgestone Invitational and became the oldest WGC champion in the events history.  Marking his 32nd career win, Singh becomes the PGA Tours career wins leader among international players.

This season, Singh has five top five finishes.  He lost in a playoff at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am and finished second at the WGC-CA Championship.  He finished third at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and had fifth place finishes at the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship and the Travelers Championship.

The win moves Singh to fourth on the Official World Golf Rankings.  The former number one ranked player in the world, Singh was inducted in the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2006.  His career year was in 2004 when Singh won nine times, including the PGA Championship.
