Fifth-year pro Katherine Hull grabbed her first LPGA Tour trophy at the CN Canadian Women’s Open at the Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club, coming back from six strokes on the final day.
The win pulls Hull up to 17th on the LPGA’s Official Money list and qualifies her for the season ending ADT Championship tournament.
Professionally, Hull has three victories oversees. She won twice on the Australian Ladies Professional Golfers Tour (ALPG) in 2006. She also earned her way back on the LPGA Tour with a seventh place finish at the Final Qualifying Tournament.
She recorded her first professional victory at the 2005 Titanium ALPG Players Championship. She also finished in second place at the BMO Financial Group Canadian Women’s Open.
In 2004, Hull played her first full season on the LPGA Tour with two top 10 finishes – sixth at the Giant Eagle LPGA Classic and seventh at the Longs Drugs Challenge.
Hull turned professional in 2003, joining the Futures Tour. She won her first event – the Aurora Health Care FUTURES Charity Golf Classic – and added another that season at the Lima Memorial Hospital Foundation FUTURES Classic. Hull earned non-exempt status for the 2004 LPGA season after finishing 42nd in the Tour’s Final Qualifying Tournament.
