Playoff time: FedEx Cup up for grabs

The FedEx Cup is still new to golf and fans are still getting used to a playoff system, especially one that has a complicated points structure.  Still, in its second year, the FedEx Cup should deliver a great end to an exciting PGA Tour season.

With Tiger Woods out of the competition, though he leads going into the first event, the title is truly up for grabs.  The favorite going into the playoffs has to be Padraig Harrington, the winner of the British Open and PGA Championship.  There are others like Phil Mickelson, Sergio Garcia and Vijay SIngh but they have shown little at the end of the season to be considered favorites.

This year’s Cup has a number of players that fans can root for.  The young gun – Anthony Kim.  The guy to pull for – Kenny Perry.  The one that should win – Phil Mickelson.  The guy to hate but would like to win – Sergio Garcia.  The best player on the course – Padraig Harrington.

Take your pick.
