Carl Pettersson grabs his first victory in two years with a two-shot victory at the Wyndham Championship.

Pettersson shot 68 in the final round to edge out Scott McCarron, who shot 64 and 68 over the weekend.  After making two birdies on the front nine, Pettersson lost his lead after back-to-back bogeys on the 10th and 11th holes.  He rebounded with birdies on the 13th, 15th and 16th holes to regain his lead and take the tournament.

McCarron had a great week and jumped 62 spots on the FedEx Cup standings to 77th place.  The second place finish completes a tough year and a half that had McCarron on the brink of losing his card after missing a year and a half from surgery to repair a tendon between his right wrist to that elbow.

The big news outside of the champion was the four players that played themselves into the FedEx Cup playoffs, where the top 144 players qualify.  Rich Beem finished in third place with back-to-back 63s over the weekend to jump from 166th place to 114th place.  J. J. Henry shot a final round 62 to finish in fourth place and climbed up to 135th in the playoff standings.  Tied with Henry was Martin Laird, who shot 63, 74, 64 and 63 to move from 164th place to 128th in the FedEx Cup standings.  Two others played their way into the playoff series with their finishes at the Wyndham Championship.  Justin Bolli and Lee Janzen finish the season at 141st and 144th respectively.
