Pettersson 61 opens three shot lead at Wyndham Championship

Carl Pettersson shot 61 in the second round of the Wyndham Championship at the Sedgefield Country Club to open up a three shot lead heading into the weekend of the PGA Tour’s final regular season event.

Pettersson set the tournament record with his round and tied the PGA 36-hole mark with a 15-under, 125 score.  His incredible day included two bogeys, on the seventh and 15th holes.  He made five pars and 11 birdies, including the first three holes. 

Garrett Willis is three back of Petterssen with rounds of 64.  Scott McCarron holds third place and Kevin Streelman fourth at 10-under par.  Tim Clark, Jerry Kelly and Bob Sowards are tied for fifth at nine-under par.

Defending champion Brandt Snedeker is in contention at six-under par with rounds of 66 and 68.
