Fudoh, Shin tied for Women’s British Open lead

With 30 mile-per-hour wind gusts, weather always plays a factor at the British Open - men or women. The leaderboard has 12 players within four shots of the leaders, including defending champion Lorena Ochoa.
Ochoa shot 68 in the second round and is tied for sixth place. Cristie Kerr shot a 65 to move her into a tie for fourth with Bo Bae Song, who shot 68s in the opening rounds. Tied with Ochoa are Natalie Gulbis (69, 68) and Ai Miyazato (68, 69).
Paula Creamer shot a three-under par, 69, to move up to a tie for 30th place, along with Karrie Webb. Annika Sorenstam shot another even-par round and is tied for 59th place in her final major. Top rookies are in the hunt with Momoko Ueda in ninth place, Yani Tseng in 13th and Na Yeon Choi in 19th.
Players to watch on the weekend are Suzann Pettersen, who is at four-under for the tournament and is tied for 19th place. Mi Hyun Kim is another player that always finds herself in contention at big tournaments this year. Also, Laura Diaz who followed a six-under, 66, with an even-par, 72, but still is tied for ninth place just four shot back.
