Ochoa leads Evian Masters by one

Lorena Ochoa is in a familiar position in France, holding a one-shot lead after the opening round of the Evian Masters.

Ochoa shot a seven-under par, 65.  Ochoa carded one birdie and eight pars on the front nine.  She beat up the back nine to the tune of six birdies, making par on the other three holes.  One shot off the pace are Angela Park, Sun-Ju Ahn and Candie Kung.  Five players are tied for fifth at five-under par, including Suzann Pettersen and Julie Inkster.

Defending champion Natalie Gulbis started her week with a 69 to sit tied for 13th place.  Paula Creamer shot a two-under, 70, and is tied for 20th place.  Annika Sorenstam is tied for 30th place after opening with 71, one-under par.
