Tiger’s absense good for the PGA?

WIth Tiger Woods shutting things down for the rest of the year to have ACL surgery and give himself time to fully recover, is the PGA Tour in good standing to survive?

Yes.

There are a lot of great, young players on Tour, many that have won this season.  Hopefully, they can grab the headlines and provide the drama that we expect from tournament golf and Woods.  With Woods’ shadow out of the way, fans will see these young golfers take advantage at the remaining two majors and the Ryder Cup.  Also, the FedEx Cup competition will open up and provide some great golf theater.
