Spotlight: Stewart Cink

The 2008 season has been good to Cink as he has only missed one cut in 15 events, recording 11 top 25 finishes. He has seven top 10s, including two runner-ups and two third place finishes this season. After a third place finish at the Buick Invitational, Cink lost to Tiger Woods in the finals of the World Golf Championship-Accenture Match Play Championship. He followed that performance up with another runner-up finish at the PODS Championship. At the two majors this season, Cink finished third at the Masters Tournament and 14th at the U. S. Open. His other top 10 finishes came at the Verizon Heritage and Wachovia Championship.
The 2007 season saw Cink finish in the money in 21 of 25 events. Of 13 top 25 finishes, Cink had six top 10s with a third place finish at THE PLAYERS Championship. He finished sixth at the British Open Championship for his best major of the season. He also finished in the top 10 at the WGC- Accenture Match Play Championship (9th), Wachovia Championship (5th), the Memorial Tournament (5th) and the BMW Championship (7th). He also played on the Presidents Cup team and had a 3-1-0 record for the week.
Cink is currently ranked sixth in the Official World Golf Rankings.
