Spotlight: Eun-Hee Ji
Jun 23rd, 2008 | By TeeOff | Category: Golf, LPGA, Player SpotlightEun-Hee Ji recorded her first LPGA Tour victory at the Wegmans LPGA in Pittsford, New York. She is enjoying a good sophomore season with two top 10s to go along with the win in 13 events, making nine cuts.
Ji finished fourth at the Safeway International, presented by Coca-Cola for her best finish before the Wegmans LPGA. She also finished ninth at the Stanford International Pro-Am.
Hailing from South Korea, Ji joined the LPGA Tour in 2007 after finishing tied for 34th place at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament, earning non-exempt status. That season she recorded two top 10 finishes in four events. She was runner-up at the Hana Bank KOLON Championship. At the RICOH Women’s British Open, Ji finished tied for fifth.
Ji has four international victories to her credit, including the 2007 Phoenix Park Classic and the KB Star Tour in Hampyung on the Korean LPGA Tour. She played on the KLPGA in 2006 and recorded four top 10s. She also spent time on the Asian Tour, where she won twice - Macaoh Open; Malaysia Open.
Ji is currently ranked 16th on the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings.
