Six tied for Stanford St. Jude Championship lead

Tommy Armour III watched a two-shot lead disappear with a bogey on the 18th hole, dropping him into a tie for the lead with five others at the Stanford St. Jude Championship.

Armour III finished the day with a one-over par, 71.  He is tied with Michael Bradley, Jason Dufner, Dean Wilson, Marc Turnesa and Gavin Coles, who made the biggest jump after shooting 64.

Coles was in 69th place after the first round and catapulted into first with a bogey-free six-under day.  Turnesa ended the first round in fourth place and started the day with a bogey followed by nine pars.  He birdied the 11th hole and, after a bogey on 14, he made back-to-back birdies on the 15th and 16th holes.

Bradley, Dufner and Wilson were all tied for 11th at the start of the day.  Bradley and Dufner both had three birdies and two bogeys in the second round.  Wilson started on the back with three birdies.  He made a bogey on the first hole, his 10th, and finished the day birdie-bogey-bogey-birdie for a two-under, 68.

Day one leader, Boo Weekley, had a rough day shooting a five-over, 75, with four bogeys, a double-bogey and one birdie.  Vijay Singh shot a one-over, 71, and leads a group tied for seventh place.  Masters champion Trevor Immelman shot 66 to jump up the leaderboard to 14th from 90th place.  Sergio Garcia shot a 72 to drop to 14th place.  Tennessee native, Brandt Snedeker shot 71 in the second round to sit at even-par for the tournament.
