Ji wins Wegmans LPGA

Eun-Hee Ji shot 67 in the final round to win the Wegmans LPGA by two shots over Suzann Pettersen.

Pettersen had a two-shot advantage heading into the final round.  Ji picked up a shot after nine holes as she carded three birdies and a bogey.  Pettersen found herself up two again after Ji made bogey on the 12th hole.  Ji picked up two shots on the 13th hole as she made birdie and Pettersen made bogey.  On the 15th hole, Ji took the lead for good as she made birdie on the par-3 when Pettersen made bogey.  Both players made birdies on the 17th hole and Pettersen closed with a bogey on the final hole.

Jeong Jang and Hee-Won Han finished tied for third and Cristie Kerr grabbed fifth place.  Lorena Ochoa shot weekend rounds of 68 and 69 to quietly grab another top-10, tieing Christina Kim, Ai Miyazato and Inbee Park for sixth place.  Paula Creamer also shot 68, 69 on the weekend to finished tied for 10th with Morgan Pressel, who finished a great tournament with a final round 75.

  • Yani Tseng finished at six-under for the tournament for a share of 16th place
  • Michelle Wie shot 69 in the final round to finish tied for 24th
  • Annika Sorenstam shot her best round of the tournament, 69, on Sunday to finish 33rd
  • Natalie Gulbis shot 78 in the final round to fall to 48th place
