Stewart Cink got his first win since 2004 at the Travelers Championship with a one-stroke edge over Tommy Armour III and defending champion Hunter Mahan.
Cink made a bogey on the fourth hole but didn’t make another the rest of day, finishing with a three-under, 67. He made two birdies on the back nine to keep ahead of Armour and Mahan.
Armour was bogey-free in the final round, shooting 65 with five birdies on the day. After a birdie on 17, Armour had a chance to tie but missed a 37-foot birdie put on the final hole. Mahan, who was trying to defend his first PGA Tour title, also shot 65 with a bogey and six birdies, including the final two holes.
Heath Slocum (67) finished in fourth place and Vijay Singh (68) grabbed fifth. Michael Allen shot 64 to move into a tie for sixth with Bubba Watson and Brad Adamonis. Corey Pavin jumped to 10th from 40th with a final round 64. Chris Dimarco finished tied for 13th and Justin Rose tied for 19th place.
